Spybot Question

Hi, I am hoping someone can explain my question. I run both Spybot and Adware. When running Spybot I notice at the bottom of screen , as it scans it is listing a bunch of names such as gain gator, spy sheriff and so on. When it finishes though it says I am OK as far as any problems. Why then does It list all these names as it is scanning, if they are not active in my computer.? Is there anyway to clear these out. This has been this way for over 6 months.
Any help is appreciated.

It is looking for matches on your system with known spyware. It probably displays what it is searching for while scanning.

Correct. Spybot uses it's database listings (what you see flying by on the bottom) and compares that to the entry locations in your registry. The entrys you see at the bottom is Spybot's own data base entrys and NOT what it's finding in your system.
