so many viruses..

i just downloaded windows update from microsoft... and avast said it found a virus.. now i scanned with pandasoftware and it found 33 viruses so far.. i have a fire wall and everything like that.. ne one got ideas..?

I think you should get a second opinion from a good anti-virus program. I would get Trend Micro's free housecall:

What your current anti-virus may be calling a virus, may be a spyware program, recognized as a trojon. If it says you have 33 of them,...sounds like it multiplied itself with continued onlne activity after the initial infection.

Download a free trial from Computer Associates. They have a good anti-virus, and it is not as massive as most others.

i used trend.. no viruses.. used avast.. trojans came up... i used pandasoftware.. 34.. so i used my spyware blaster, search and destroy, adware finder and remover.. and things like that.. yeah i think they are gone... thanx guys.. idk yet kus it seems like they keep coming back thats my problem.. idk now kus i used the quarantine thing.. ill let u know how it goes... kus i usually just clean em.. i think that was the problem.. if that dun work ill try somthin else thanx guys..

Now you say that you downloaded this from Microsoft ? because if it was legit off their website, the chances are there will be no virus. but if you download off a p2p or website or something then yes, you could have a virus, and it needs to be taken care of.
