Hoping that my post is in the right...

I think our news site is just a little too drab. We love the greens and the traditional boxy news format, but something is just not right. I'm not sure but I'm thinking it's all the horizontal and vertical lines. I just can't pin it. Someone suggested a scroller, but that's just script cased by more boxy lines. Anyone care to comment?
