Rather high CPU usage? (probably not virus)

Hi tech forums, recently my computer is experiencing pretty high CPU usage, when I'm not doing anything, windows task manager says its at 5%, although it occasionally jumps to 10% or so. But when I have Firefox open with a youtube video playing, it will be around 15-25%. This is very annoying as it makes my applications lag (the scroll bar moves choppily in Firefox!). Initially I thought it was a virus or spyware, so I ran a full system scan with AVG free edition and webroot spyware sweeper, but both found nothing. I have the definitions up to date! And it's not my graphic card driver either because I just installed the newest nVidia drivers.

Could it be that my computer has too much stuff on it? I did a defragment of the drive this OS (vista ultimate, updated) is installed on, but that didn't help. What do you think I should do next? Thanks for your time. :)

Thanks, I've read it, here's my Hijackthis 2.0.2 log:

otherwise you look fine

what about startup programs?

start > accessories > run > "msconfig" > startup tab

Untick everything there except your antivirus and firewall.

that entry looks weird to me.

Also I see something in your log for Norton 2009 and AVG 8.

Are you running two anti viruses?

Not anymore, I've uninstalled Norton. AVG couldn't find anything abnormal, but I'm sure there's something causing the high CPU usage, it's annoying me very much!
