I did last night, it finished but i presume did not turn on completely because the PC was off the network. I couldn't get ahold of the owner today so i'll be back at it tomorrow. I'll check to see if it created a log file. If so i'll continue the scan instructions.

It did not finish, i didn't get a log file. I'm going to try again, not in safemode. If it craps out again i'll just proceed with malwarebytes (i know that works) then hijackthis.

These are the only entries i see that are even somewhat interesting. The first is a Proxy setup. Not sure if the user did it or not. But that is something to look into. The others are a scheduled task for preloading a browser UI. That is the first time i have seen something like that. So you might want to look into that as well.
