MSN virus

Okay thanks I'll post the HJT log.
Sometimes on my laptop I notice black rectangles or square appear out of nowhere for a sec on a screen. I think this has only happened after I downloaded and ran a video but I'm not sure if that video is the cause.
Here's the log :

Thanks I have a question I posted in my last reply but I guess you didn't notice it due to the huge log
Sometimes on my laptop I notice black rectangles or square appear out of nowhere for a sec on a screen. I think this has only happened after I downloaded and ran a video but I'm not sure if that video is the cause.
Thanks :D again. Sorry for many questions :D

That would be due to an outdated video driver. That has nothing to do with an infection.

Okay I have the latest driver. shall I uninstall the first driver first Or shall I just directly install the new one? And if I should uninstall it, do I just uninstall it from add and remove programs or I need some sort of program like driversweeper? ( I don't think driversweeper supports sis integrated graphics, I used it on my PC before but I don't remember DriverSweeper having an option for SIS drivers )

Well you can try it anyway you want. If it works and doesnt cause conflict, then there is no harm in doing it either way.

Sorry to tailgate on this post but, anyone have a good and inexpensive AV they can recommend? I've been using the free AVG for a while which has been fine but I'm just not convinced it's thorough... maybe the full version?

Also, Skorpian, you mentioned a good defragmenter... I've used Diskeeper for years and been really happy with it. Defrag Software - Defragmentation & Data Recovery Solutions | Diskeeper

Microsoft Security Essentials is free and works very well. It does require your installation of Windows to pass verification, though.

I like Avast Free too. I don't know if MSE is good or not because I haven't used it. I just like Avast and I'm used to it, I use it on both my PC and laptop and it's light and doesn't take much ram unless you're scanning.
I've got an off-topic question though, is there anyway to convert a FAT32 IDE Hdd 160 GB to NTFS without formatting it? I've got lots of important info on it but I want to put some files on it which are 4gb+ and can't due to FAT32 limitation.
Thanks!
