LSASS.EXE virus :(

Hey All, i'm new here, and i have a virus i can't seem to get rid of. Ok, I have a Compaq Presario laptop. Last night (i leave my computer running) i woke up to the sound of my laptop turning off, then turning back on (its a VERY loud computer). I was really tired, seeing it was about 4 am and i had an exam at 7:45. When i got up in the morning, i saw i had an error message, on the windows logon saying LSASS.EXE- system error... then under that heading it said something how it could not update the password because the password was incorrect or something weird like that. I tried booting my laptop in safe mode and it says the same thing. I have norton go back, and that does not work either. i was looking it up on the web, and it is a virus. I do not know how to get it off, hopefully someone can help me. i cna't even log into windows. My computer shuts off automatically after it spits up the error message.. THANKS!

My advice is to grab your XP CD and reinstall windows.
