This program starts up with my computer and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. I've searched the internet and found it's malware/virus. I just completed a virus scan and found nothing. Anyone know anything about lock1.exe?

Serach your drive for location. boot in safe mode and delete all files that have to do with it.

I've searched for lock1.exe and found nothing. I read that it was located in the System32 folder but nothing was in there. Hidden files are shown. BTW...thanks for the quick reply. I appricate it.

I think lock1.exe is a hack rootkit and hides from common searchers for viruses it writes commands in your reg to start up. Think its put thier by the W32/Sdbot-ADQ worm.

when it says HJT it means hijackthis, its a software program download it and follow those steps in the link. I hope it works.
