hi

can i block my IP address from showing up. i am a member of forums and worried about spam and other offers

IP address has nothing to do with spam and offers. Those come from your email address. IP address cannot be anonymous (though some people spoof them, but I won't go into that).

If you are worried about spam and offers, I recommend that you get a "disposable" email address (such as hotmail, yahoo, gmail, or the like) to use for forums and things, and keep your primary (personal) email for friends and family.

grab yourself an older or unused computer and install the Astaro Security Gateway software. its free and its will perform all the fuctions you need.
