I would like to get rid of Smartsearch

Some how smartsearch as got on to my freinds laptop computer . Everytime he opens IE, smartsearch's website is there.
I can not remove this smartsearch's URL from my HOME PAGE properties. Everytime I try to remove the URL, it finds it way back in there again.

I have tried the following Spyware killers :-
* SpyBot S&D
* AdAware 6
* SpySweeper
* Spyware Stopper
* HiJack This
* CW Shredder
* HiJack This' Mini Remover Cool Websearch Smart Killer

So far, the problem is still there, and it's driving me nucking futs!

Has any encounter the SMARTSEARCH spyware? If so, how did you remove it.

You help on this matter would be good.

very easy to fix.
Go to control panel-"add and remove programs"
you'll find a few different programs with names like websearch or win-tools or searchbar. When you attempt to remove them they post tricky boxes that are worded in a way to make it confusing for you to uninstall them,but if you read them carefully its pretty easy.
At the same time you can look for other unwanted programs and remove them.
