How to maintain and clean my compter?? << Super Newvbie...Sorry>>

Okay.. my computer skills ===> Anything happens..I turn off the computer and turn it back on..

I currently run avast(free version) on all of my compters..So far nothing really big happend... but my computer seems slow and my compter rates are around 3.2 ~4.2

I try to clean the history and cookies once awhile... but thats alll I do...

Are u guys using a software or doing some thing to maintain ur computer in top condition?

CCCleaner, which pretty much does cleans cookies, cleans up the registry, def the hard drive, and also learns your pattern of running process and stops them for automatically starting ie. Keeping the reg clean, and defraging is the most noticeable difference I see when trying to maintenance on my pc. BUT I notice the biggest difference from a whole reinstall of the OS.
