This is the same PC I had problems w/ 6 mo. ago. I have a feeling something is going on. Can you find anything thing I can/should delete or viruses, malware, etc.? Thanks in advance.

Some websites just quit coming up. McAfee was one, hotmail was another. They worked fine on this PC, but not the other one. Another thing, sites like hotmail, google, weather.com, etc. used to place the cursor right in the box so you could type immediately, now I have to click in the box. Weather.com no longer keeps my city/state saved either and it's not b/c I cleared cookies...

Also, startup has been really slow as of recent. Most of this just happened a couple days ago, not the slowness though, I'm sure its attributable to more programs being added. Thanks.

I think I'm missing an ActiveX controller. Does this sound right? I can't even go to the windows update site. Maybe my son uninstalled/deleted it??? Anyone have it they can post? THanks!

Another thing, I downloaded Windows Defender and it won't let me download definition updates... What the heck is going on?!

Yes - "The program can't download definition updates. Error found: Code 0x80240022"
