help! Error code 80070490 wont let me update Windows Vista!

i cant do system restore because my file system is corrupted. Problems happened after 12/5/08. Last update successful was 12/30/08 for Windows Defender. The Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 SP 1 was on 11/30/08. I think i deleted that when i was looking for solutions to Error Code 80070490. I did a hijack log and need help:

i appreciate any help from anyone. I'm getting my Phenom II 940 on Monday for sure and if i need to reinstall Vista and backup my data, please tell me so. My Windows Vista Ultimate OS is an OEM copy.

i tried opening it, but i do not have Microsoft Word 2007. Idk who does now on my computer. Can u just suggest me what to do since i have no idea what is on that guide?

Do you have Office at all? It's in Office 2003 Format, not 2007
