Have I been hacked?

ahh i see so that leaves you without a pc to use. can you ask a friend to help you get the iso downloaded and burned to a disk? what ever virus you had on your pc could have damaged a lot of files it could be the reason it wont let you do a restore.

Or instead of wiping your OS, run through some scans:

Download MBAM and update it. Then download TDSSKiller, and HiJackThis.

Boot into Safe Mode and run a quick scan. If it finds anything, remove it and reboot back into Safe Mode. Run TDSSKiller (should only take a few minutes). After that, run HiJackThis and post the log here.

Also check msconfig to see if anything on Startup is running that looks odd.

What AV do you currently use?

+1

Nianov - did these steps help you?

If not, do what Drogos suggested - use a friends computer, burn and ISO of your version of Windows and install it. If you bought the computer with Windows installed, there should be a sticker with a barcode and the Product Key. That is your Windows product key you can use to reinstall your version of Windows.

Just download Superantispywares from here:SUPERAntiSpyware - Downloading File
And download a serious antivirus for that a recommended Norton: http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com/upgrade/NSS/SymCCIS/Production/NPI/facebook/Setup.exe

Norton is a horrible AV not a "serious AV" because there's better ones out there for free... and reinstalling Windows should be a last resort.

Downloading AVG FREE AV i'ts a huge mistake because it doesn't gives you the basics
And AVAST i'ts the fail of technology because when i had AVAST I had 56 viruses and AVAST didn't catch any of them!!!!!!Just think it again.....

i think hes pc died and has no way of contacting us. i sent him a pm telling him ill download and mail that windows copy to him if he needs it but haven't heard back.

Top AV from 2013: Kaspersky
After that, it's: Avast, Bitdefender, Avira, Eset, and a few others.

AV-Comparatives is a non-bias AV review website.

Also... if you had 56 viruses, that's YOUR fault, not the fault of the AV. Have some common sense and you won't have any infections. Many members here don't run any AV's at all because they have common sense.

Ok,first of all Northon it's free for 6 months and it scan all softwares you download and if a software has a virus then Northon delete the software!
Ok so download Northon to see it!

Many of those AV's are free forever, not just 6 months ;).

That's called active scanning, which all AV's have, not something just Norton has. Sorry, but Norton, McAfee, etc. are all still horrible. If I'm going to pay for an AV, it'll be Kaspersky, ESET, or BitDefender (which they now have a free version of as well). For now, I'll stick with the stock Windows Defender and common sense.
