I am not trying to be funny or make a joke when I say that you have to be the dumbest hacker on the planet to hack a police website.

He wrote on the force's official website: "U HAVE BEEN 0WNED BY L33T H4CKER Ali.Mani "UR SECURITY SUCKS UK POLICE THIS IS MY REVENGE AGAINST U

heh, I think its rather humorous. ""We are aware of a problem with the force website and the offending matter is being removed. " haha...what exactly gave him a clue I wonder, the fact of seeing "U HAVE BEEN 0WNED BY L33T H4CKER Ali.Mani " & "UR SECURITY IS ZERO%" plastered on their site, and they didn;t put it there? wow that guy is obviously a detective. Maybe it was just one of their admins having a bad joke, and not a illegal hack at all....haha.

wow, just for doing something as harmless as that? harsh indeed. heh. As it stands, part of freedom is being able to do what you want, the other part is of course being responsible for what you do, since you can do what you want. so ya of course if he gets caught he is the one who will pay the price, as he should. It's good he allerted the police of their security flaw however before a serious offender could actually use it as a gateway to possibly do a more serious thing.

One of my good friends used to be the head of internet crimes in my area but went back to a cruiser because the politics where getting too much and he wanted to get away from it, But he could catch you, The police actually had a porn site up, Legally he could NOT go into your system unless YOU open the port and connect to him so the porn site would be sent to suspected child porn offenders in many slick ways and as soon as they connect he was scanning the system, However when he gave up the detectives badge the network started crashing on a regular basis and the internet crimes division suddenly went away. Turns out the politics he walked away from is what chose who got his job and they hadn't a clue. Most internet divisions are text book crime fighters and a good hacker can walk right by them, But there are a few who know how to snag you.
