Great trick for finding the Sony RootKit

I heard this trick on a security podcast; create a file on your desktop called $sys$(whatever you want). For some reason any file that starts with $sys$ on a machine with the Sony DRM RootKit installed will become invisible to your OS. So if the file disappears after you make it, you know you have it installed. Fear not, Microsoft will include the RootKit in their MS anti-spyware program and malicious software removal tool.
