Hi hi,

nowadays after using IE and going TO ANY SITE then closing the window the opening another IE window, it immediateley goes to about:blank site and popups sayin i got spyware!

Help help

Thanks.

hello

Please do this. Click here to download Hijack This. Save it to itÂ’s own folder (not temporary files or the desktop).
Close all open windows and open HIJACK THIS. Click “Scan” . When the scan is finished (it only takes a second), the scan button will change to“Save Log”. Click on“Save Log” and save it to NotePad. Copy the entire log and paste it here.

DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET , most items that appear in the log are harmless or even needed. Wait for someone to analyze the scan and advise.

it depends on what is on there
how the hijacker looks
if you can even see it
if there are other files there that is causing the hijacker

k..

k,

ive used hijack this. The main prog i suspect is this thing call R1: a registry value that has been created and is not present in a default Windows install nor needed, possibly resulting in a changed IE search, Start Page, Search Bar or Search Assistant.

I try to fix it but whenever i open IE, and about:blank comes up, i scan again and its back. Shld be some other programme that causes this programme to come back huh. ???

o yea tis is my log file

Mmmmmmmmm I think this one is brand new i haven't seen an actual fix yet. And the fixes that normally work haven't worked
so I would try one of the security forums That deal with this on a daily basis

If you don't Know any i could give you some suggestions
