Which Free Antivirus to use?

Im using eTrust EZ Antivirus 2005 v 7.0.81 (free)

I used to use McAfee through AOL, but no longer have AOL, so I wanted to find a fairly inexpensive or free Antivirus.

It seems to me whenever I switch to something other than Mcafee, I start having virus, adware, spyware problems.

I browse with MSN Premium & ocassionally use Firfox. I try not to use IE, but sometimes it will pop open when I click on a link.

AdAware
Spybot S&D
CleanUp v4
Crapcleaner v1.20.118

Firewall
Cisco Wireless B Broadband Router (BEFW1154)
Windows XP Firewall

After un-installing AOL & McAfee, I ran a AdAware scan & Spybot scan & found lots of infected files.

I will post my highjack log later when Im on my home PC. For now can someone offer me advice?

If you want a free antivirus you can use the AVG Free Edition which is best from www.grisoft.com
