Hi

Thanks for the site and ability to be apart of it.

I have a very limited knowledge of comp lingo and nitty gritty.

Have joined to see if someone can help me with a trojan prob.

I use Avira and over the past week have had a trojan continually pop up that is killing me and my desktop. Have had to turn the computer off as the beeps that are being made from detections resembles more of a trance song than an alert. Luckily have a laptop too.

the trojan is TR/Monder.aszi and is linked from what I can tell to jkkJBxVn.dll

All this makes no sence to me.

Downloaded Hijackthis and have a log page but wont post it unless it is usefull

Would really appreciate some help and step by step instructions.

Thanks again

Bowen

hello bdsal1, welcome to tech-forums.

try downloading malwarebytes:
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com
run it, and see if you still have the problem. if you do, post back and we will move to the security section for our resident experts to investigate.
dont worry, MWB will probably find lots of little sneakys in your computer. it freaked me out the first time i ran it, but it cleans them right up.

Thanks will do so now, and will let you know...

Regards Bowen

Hi

Downloaded Malwarebytes and have had no issues since it deleted all infections.

Stupid question why cant you just manually delete the dll from system32 that has the trojan linked to it??

Again many thanks for the help

Bowen
