Do I have a virus?

My computer was working fine, then one day, Security Essentials came out with some updated "Virus and spyware definitions" and I clicked update. But it wouldn't work, it just kept giving me some error. I click Update, it will give me this: http://puu.sh/38yBU.jpg And then When its done with that, it gives me this: http://puu.sh/38yCq.jpg And that just endlessly repeats.

Also, I've noticed that my computers date (bottom right) will randomly change. Last week it was 2033, and today it was August 4. I tried to sync it with time.microsoft.com and it told me everything was right :/ so I had to do it manually.

I'm not sure if these two things could be related, I just noticed that they started happening around the same time. I'm not gonna lie, I've downloaded questionable things *cough* Torrents *cough* so there is a good change that this is some kind of lame malware, but maybe its just some kind of network error, I'm not sure. Anyway thanks for all your helpful replies! :D

Yes it sounds like a virus. Run MBAM, malwarebytes antimalware.

It could be a virus, and I would definitely check.
But, I would say, don't be surprised if it doesn't find anything, because the time constantly changing easily explains why MSE can't update properly. MSE knows what definitions to download and when to check based on the local PC system date/time.

But, then again, the virus could be changing the system time to intentionally do just that. So, you'll never know unless you check.

I'd also at least check the voltage of your BIOS battery and possibly replace it.

Make sure the date/time in the BIOS is also correct.
