Crashing and problems

Ok, so while I'm using my computer, things like svchost.exe jump to 100%, leaving my computer sitting there for like 5 mins until it fixes itself. Also, sometimes I can't click on anything and must do a restart. Also, adaware and spybot seem to be doing nothing. First of all, spybot never finds anything and usually never has. And when I do multiple searches with adaware, it comes up with the same problems. I've tried deleting and quaranting, but it doesn't do anything. Any newer progs come out than these crappy POS's?

Reinstall your OS then when you have done that install a antivirus program like Kappersky or norton then download the updates then get spy sweeper I use that and have never had a problem.
