comboFix package has been compromised

Following the removal guide... stuck on combofix.

I get the following error:

!!ALERT!! It is NOT SAFE to continue!

The contents of the ComboFix package has been compromised. Please download a fresh copy from:

A guide and tutorial on using ComboFix

Note: You may be infected with a file patching virus 'Virut'


Tried downloading from alternative download site on bleepingcomputer.com

Tried downloading onto desktop and then running in safe mode



I have run all the programs up to combofix in the removal guide. Can post logs if needed.

Nothing is working now... im backing everything up before its too late. I'll reformat . Bad stuff for sure. Anything I should do to make sure it doesn't comeback after reformat?

Your still going to need to find the problem because good chance your going to back the problem up too. If your backing up to an external you can Start > My Computer >
Right Click on your external device, and you should have the option to scan with your AntiVirus and, or malware protection. Osiris has Spyware Asylum which I have used many times.
