I went around downloading things all willy nilly and probably got a virus. Basically, if the computer is turned off or put into sleep mode then rebooted it blue screens at the desktop 5-10 times before it actually gets working. My troubleshooting isn't very good hence why I came here. I ran a virus scan which turned up detected files but doesn't give me the removal option. I'm running windows vista 32-bit ultimate.
