Best free Ad-blocker to use?

I'm getting very sick & tired of excessive adware. I've done some browsing for a pop-up blocker which actually works, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Can be free or paid even though I put free in the topic name.

I use IE popup blocker set to high and msn toolbars blocker

Norton Internet Security (hate to say it) has a good ad-blocker.

Zone Alarm also has a good ad-blocker.

Use firefox, there a like a million extensions for adblocking. You never need see another ad.
I recommend Adblock, flashblock, and noscript (java blocker). In conjunction with a decent firewall you can't miss. I also recommend you use something like "sypbot Search and destroy" to clear up anything that gets through.
Also get a comprehensive list of ad sites and loop them in your hosts file.
