bad virus problem, cant do anything!

ok, well i got into safemode and everything ran fine, ran ad-aware and deleted 77 infected files/viruses. should i also install and run a mcaffee app to be safe?

there was this specific virus app that i got a while ago, before the windows progress bar screen, the virus app popped up and scanned the pc for viruses before they started, which is exactly what i needed. ive tried mcaffee and avast, and they dont have that feature. anyone know what that program is called? im desperate for it!
