AVG scam?

i recently re-connected a pc that had been off for a week or so and put it back on my network as soon as it found the net a slew of virus alerts were happening from AVG and then asking me to buy pro edition.

funny thing is a week ago it was no problem and then bam.. sounds a little fishy to me..

this is the only pc on my network that uses AVG

Never seen AVG give out false positives like that just to buy the Pro edition. Normally if it pops up something about the Pro version or whatnot, it's usually because it's an old version that needs to be updated.

I would just try reinstalling it, and see what happens.
