AVG discovered EXPLOIT.WMF virus, help ?

for the past few weeks ive been using internet explorer instead of mozilla because theres certain things that i cant do on mozilla and thats how i got

well i did an avg virus scan and it came up but it didnt let me remove it , i moved it in the vault but im afraid of traces of the virus still lurking around,, any input is appreciated
