AVG Anti-Virus Free will be discontinued on 15. January 2007!

Hah! And I was wondering, "Should I stick to Avast for my next computer upgrade, or try out AVG?". I guess that solves the question.
 
But 7.5 will become available...

I think this is a good excuse for trying a new AV tbh. What's now the best free AV that has active protection?

Good man, ive tired all the AV's that people say are good but none have been as good as nod32, not only does it protect very very well but its sooooo easy to use and understand and it doesnt slow down a pc either :D

Avast, Bitdefender, Antivir, Clamwin?

Amoung the above four AV programs, which one is the best besides AVG?
Which of them has free virus DB update service?
 
the reason it is discontinued is because 7.5 is out and is better and is also free.
