AVG 9.0 Question

just today two computers had a threat detected c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

why would avg see it as a threat? could it be that some changes may have been done to it?

when i try to open it, it says ACCESS DENIED then it opens to blank, when i go to copy and paste from another machine it says something about the path, I ran malwarebytes and found nothing, so i'm running malwarebytes and spybot s&d under safe mode for now,

*can i delete it and copy and paste in the ETC folder?

Run combofix in safemode and post its log

spybot found some stuff and removed it and the hosts changed to lmhosts and read up on it and its ok this could be closed
