AVG 11.0 is still somewhere on my computer

When I run ComboFix it reports that AVG 11.0 is still running somewhere on my computer even though I've uninstalled it, deleted all remaining files and what registry entries I felt comfortable deleting. I, for the life of me cannot find out why this is happening. Any ideas?

Ok, I downloaded it - ran it - and ComboFix says it's still running

I swear that program is like a virus by itself. I cannot for the life of me find out where in the **** this is at.

You can try Revo Uninstaller to see if there are any rogue registry entries left over.

Reboot into Safe mode.

Run AVG remover, restart pc again into normal windows.

Check C:\program files\ (look for avg folders and delete them.
reboot again. this should fix the problem

Ok, I did all of that and it still shows that it's on my computer by ComboFix. I'd like to contact AVG (which seems impossible) and let them know what I think. Got any other ideas?

Avg removal

there must still be entries in the regestry. search regedit.

Try reinstalling AVG, then running RevoUninstaller with the deep scan mode to get rid of registry entries.

It's usually not a good idea to just go into the registry and delete keys unless you know exactly what you're deleting.
