Did super antispyware find anything?

SuperSpyware is too long to fit -

Found 298 tracking cookies -

Our company hides our cookie file (we can't access it) - so this was cool to clear this out.

I quarantined them, but the computer has to be rebooted to remove them - can't do that right now.

Here's the top of the log:

Do you think this fixed your problem?

Nope...

Am able to delete the file as soon as the computer boots up, but it reappears when all the startup scripts have run.

I feel like that scene from "Independence Day" when they nuke Houston, but the spaceship is still there...

Or maybe like Bill Murry in groundhog day.. just Kill Punxsutawney Phil and it will all go away ;)

Log shows nothing.

What kind of scripts run?

How do I find this out? I know that when I boot up, it takes a good five minutes while I get a messages that say "Enabling Network Connections" and "Running Startup Scripts" - but don't know what these are nor how to find them.

Thoughts?

Z

Looking around the net for a few hours, I've noticed this is most possibly due to HP components. They also delete it, then we they reboot, its back again, all use HP printers.

Just thought I'd check in. I had great success in deleting the file...and it disappeared for days. And my HP printers worked. Had to reboot yesterday, however, to connect to the VPN my company uses, and I noted it took an inordinately long time to "run startup scripts." Yep - it's back. Did all the Combofix and SuperAntiSpyware runs, and I can delete it while boot up is still in progress...but it replicates itself even after it's deleted.

Weird....
