Can you tell me what is the best way to protect ones computer from malware?

I have got norton antivirus 2004 but it has expired, i was thinking of taking out a subscription, would NAV solve all my problems or do i need to run some other stuff every now and then?

I would honestly recommend Norton AntiVirus 2003 for anyone's computer. Personally, I think it's better than the 2004 version and you can find it for a bit less money too .

also does a tracking cookie bad for your machine , does it slow down ones machine?

what is the difference between NAV 2003 and NAV 2004, i thought NAV 2004 would be the newer, better, upgraded version of NAV 2003

is that not the case?
