AntiVirus Locking Up?

Ok so whenever I run my Avast Scan, it locks up around the 8% mark. I tried running Avira Antivirus and the same thing happened at 17%.

Any ideas?

Try AVG anti virus it is the best i am using it now and it never locks up or slows my pc down

I have a problem with nod 32 locking up, but norton avg and kasperski never lock up. Kasperski is really good, once you disable the (yes or no) pop-ups

Please oh please tell me you do not have 3 anti virus apps running.
