anti-virus ratings

I just got a new laptop for my gf and if came with a bunch of softwares.
I was wondering of whicih anti virus to give her. It comes with pc cillin 12. Should I get her avg free. Or keep the pc cillin
And is it good to have norton ghost.
I want her to have some kind of recovery program, incase she screws something up.

Best antivirus that you can buy ($20) is BitDefender.

Best antivirus that you get free is AVG or Avast.

well i guess ill stik with avg then.
I had the trial version of bit diff on my pc before...dint like it.
I've been satisfied with kaspersky. Never gav me a single prob.
It uses up som resources, but i can live with it.

Do you suggest I keep Norton Ghost 10, or get a different backup/restore utility.
I want my gf laptop to have some safety on it.

I want something free and simple that i can keep going back to previous points.
