I've done a full antivirus and root check on Avira, but it didn't find any adware either.

In my first reply, were there no proxy settings enabled?

I've looked through my settings and can't find where you turn off proxy. There is a page where it asks whether or not to auto detect proxy settings though.

It's called "Automatic Proxy Setup"

The manual proxy server is turned off if that was the setting you wanted me to have off.

Only thing that comes to my mind about blocking adds in Edge is : https://adblockplus.org/en/edge

Did you check one of the other browsers?

Just downloaded Google Chrome, and I haven't seen any ads yet. It might only be just on Microsoft Edge.

Have you checked the extensions in Edge?

I looked, but all I have is Adguard Adblocker, which I downloaded from the windows store.
