Ad Aware problem

I reinstalled Ad aware SE tons of times and i still have the problem that when i first come on my comp i can double click it and the main screen shows up but after about 10 mins or so i double click it and nothing happens. I know it cant be because of a virus i just reformated

have you used any other scanners also to try to clear that up because it could be a virus or spyware that is preventing it from opening.

Download and install HighJackThis.

Run a scan and post it on the Analyze section.

Well when i try and turn off my computer the thing pops up asking me to end it or something like the end progress thing?
