Yahoo messenger Text Problems

hi there people
well let me get to the point
the thing is in YIM
while typing i cannot see what i type
as well as cannot see what the other person is saying
all is blank
the pic below would explain all
well recently i installed Avast AV and MS Antispyware
thot these were the culpurits but deinstalled them resintalled yahoo
still nothing same problem
so people any solutions

Sounds like a new virus to me. You are the third person this week with the same problem.
Or did you recently install a new version?

well ive beenusing the 6.*** version since last year
but suddenly this problem cropped up
since 4 days now

but will the older version work cause
i guess yahoo doesnt allow older versions

i still use an older version of Y! messanger. keeps telling me to update on start but i just click no.
