wierd internet problem

Hi

whenever I restart my computer I have to keep disabling the proxy under lan settings or my internet won't work and when i restart it just goes back on. it's really annoying to have to disable it after every restart. Does anyone know how to fix this for good?

Yes I disable the check box for use proxy server but after i restart the computer it just ends up being cecked again for some reason.

won't firefox and opera do the same thing or do they have seperate settings from internet options in windows?

yes they have there own internet connection options.

you can configure them for proxys also.

go ahead and give firefox a shot to test it out and let us know how it goes.

also you might want to to a spyware virus scan just to make sure nothing is trying to mess with your settings.

ok, I downloaded opera and and the settings stopped changing.
Also used to have firefox but I'm on dialup and it was just too slow for me.

but whatever works.

if anything firefox would work better with dial-up, you get there adblock and flash block extensions and you will cruise way faster then ie.
