Why my torrent doesn't fast?

I've bitcomet as a torrent program
the problem that is the speed doesn't exceed 20 kb/s
although in http downloads reach 32 kb/s
and the upload speed dosen't exceed 7 kb/s

my internet connection is ADSL 256 kb/s

Dose this numders normal or there is something rong?

Your internet's max is 256Kbps or 32KB/s. The speeds seem to be fine.

My friend has the same internet speed and his goes 35Kb/s MAX download. Upload is disabled for some reason.

Have you tried a torrent with lots of seeders?

I asked my ISP about my connection they told me that the 256KB/s subscribtion support 32KB/s for download

this mean that (your sub. speed/8 = down. speed) (512/8 = 64)
that my ISP told me, and what all ADSL subscirbers do here in Egypt...

Your ISP people didn't get proper education. 256Kbps is exactly the same as 32KB/s. The speed doesn't change when brownsing or downloading.
They mostly use 256Kbps to advertise their connection speed because KB/s looks slower.
Many users get confused by this. ISP's also advertise their connection speeds as 12Mb (12Mbps), and people think they can download at 12MB/s, but in reality it is "only" 1.5MB/s.

My connection speed is 3Mbps = 3072Kbps = 384KB/s.
