what wireless broadband router do I need??

I've just got my own computer for xmas,and we already own a windows xp one. I need to buy a router in order to get the internet on my new computer. I've been looking for one, and my old computer's internet connection kodem is a USB, do i need to but something called an ethernet card in order to use the broadband on my new computer??please help!! Im only 16 and clueless and want my xmas present!!

youre gonna need a straight / patch cable to connect your modem to a router. i've never seen a router that connects via usb. You could buy wireless network cards, if your router is wireless. Otherwise, you'll need wired network cards and cables.
