VERY strange internet issues....

Ok, so today I get home and hop onto my slow *** dial up connection to get online, well my IM programs log in like normal but when I start up IE7 it can't seem to find any websites, which seemed strange. Well I just now loaded up firefox and I can go to any website I want to, I just ran a tracert and that won't even go through... Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

So Firefox works but IE doesnt?

Could be a IE specific spyware. IE is known to be the easiest to take over. Have you gone thru Osiris's guide recently?

Have you tried to use IE with no Add Ons or disable the add ons?

Yea, checked the addons, ran a few scans and checked for all possible spyware. But anyways, I found the issue, for some reason Sygate Firewall was closed and it ended up blocking all my programs from accessing the internet except firefox and msn... Very strange, but meh, issue solved...
