VBulletin Instant E-mail Notification

I Administrate a very small (27 member) political forum, and my question is how beneficial is it to have the "Instant email notification" turned on? That feature that e-mails you everytime someone replies to your post. What are the pros and cons of this feature? Does anyone not like this feature turned on?

I would love to heard input from as many people as possible about this topic and what people prefer, having the Instant email notification on or off?

I turn it off because Im too active and those things come in the 100s.
