Uninstalling IE7

For me, it uninstalled okay, but was unable to immediately re-install the final build of IE7 right after it uninstalled RC1. I didn't screw up my system to the point where I needed to do a fresh install of Windows, but it took some work for me to get the final build of IE7 working.

what I suggest is if you arent a beta tester for testing purposes, leave all beta programs alone. Or use it in a virtual environment. If everyone stayed at IE6, the upgrade to IE7 would have been fine

I would agree with you, but IE7RC1 was the first piece of beta software I ever really had trouble with. It seems to be more the exception than the rule, but maybe that's just my own personal experience.
