I just reformatted my Toshiba m2 with the recovery disk, now the internet does not work. I plugged it in and nothing. I don't know where to start/what to do and I am not as experienced with computers as you guys. How can I go about connecting to the internet? I can answer any questions that you need to know, thanks.

Hello,

Did you reinstall your Ethernet Adapter Drivers?

Cheers,
Mak

It is possible that during recovery your BIOS was also set back to defaults and that could have disabled your Ethernet. That was the case with my Toshiba laptop, had me scratching my head for a few minutes there ;)

Do you know how to check this? If not we can guide you easily enough I think.

F2 or Delete will take you into BIOS it will say something like "Press F2 to enter BIOS" or "Press F2 to enter Setup" once in the BIOS look around till you see the networking options an it will say Enabled or Disabled to next of them normaly.

Can I just ask did you just reinstall the OS as I know there are a number of OEM's that give you the OS on one disk an the drivers on the other. Oh an what OS are you using XP or Vista?
