Stretching a java applet?

Is there anyway you can strectch that java applet? If your desktops set at 1024x768 it will come out small, if you change it to 800x600 it'll will be full size but the of course the graphics look worse.

So is there anyway you can keep a resolution of 1024x768 and make the java applet full size like it is at 800x600. I know you can make your own clients, but is doing this possible?
