Here's a weird one for ya.

I made Bing my homepage when Google started acting up a few days ago. Yesterday I updated my defrager and Gomplayer. I use the custom install so I can weed out the junk.
Now here's the odd thing. Every time I right click, save picture as, the target box opens and shows the picture as untitled and the file format as png. All of them.
Why is it doing that?

sounds like default file types, protocols or apps is changed?

Goto Settings > System > default apps > look in there, then scroll to bottom and look at file types, protocols.

Change it to defaults what you want.

Its the first thing I do when setting up a machine.

Where are you saving the pics from?

When you save the pic, does it actually save the picture, or is it saving an "overlay"? I know sometimes have an invisible overlay over their resources to stop the quick-and-easy "Right Click -> Save as..." people from getting the pic (though diving into the browser's Dev Tools, you can bypass it).

I did an inplace repair install. It's just running the upgrade from the DVD.
Turns out it fixed whatever was wrong and now it works like it should.
Trouble now is getting all the updates back in place. I'm going for the SP1 first since it's the largest file. I tried the IE11 update but it failed to install.
