question abotu active x!!!!

hi
my freind tryed to get into a specific website and this message comes up!! i don't think this guy got any active x controlers on his computer, would java be good?? "active x is running on this page". what would i have to do to fix this?? what program would be good for this?? please post!!

Active X is from Microsoft, and only works with Interent Explorer.

If you are using Interent Explorer, you might have Avtive X disabled (which is safer, as Active X can be used for some very nasty exploits).

In order to see the page, you'll have to turn Active X back on, so be sure about whether you really want to see the site, and if you think it is safe.
 
On my IE, I have a selection just above Interent Options. This selection is Reset Web Settings, which sets everything back to their default settings.
 
I have Windows XP Home, with every update out there. Yes, I am a little paranoid when it comes to updating my stuff.

I also use a lot of add-ins. The option could be from an add-in, or it might not. I don't keep track of them all.
