Problem with Cookies?

Whenever I visit tech-forums I have to log in, and every time I log in i put check mark in the box that says remember me. But for some reason it doesn't every remember me. This isn't that big of a deal but I was just wondering what the problem is. I do have my cookies enabled and if it helps at all I have Google Chrome.
