Pidgin broke

I got version 2.5.3 working on Win7 right now. No issues. 0.o

Same... Except I got Vista Ultimate...

I just had this problem, found this thread, then fixed the problem (I think), so I thought I'd share.

Here was what happened:

• Installed Pidgin 2.6.1 with the Aspell English spellchecker.
• Attempted to run it. It immediately crashed.
• Uninstalled Pidgin. Did not uninstall Aspell.
• Reinstalled Pidgin. Attempted to run it. It immediately crashed.
• Frowned at computer. Googled. Found this thread.
• Installed Revo, ran it and uninstalled Pidgin. Since that had already been tried by somebody else on this thread, I also uninstalled Aspell through Revo.
• Reinstalled Pidgin without the Aspell English spellchecker.
• Ran it. It opened, which is a lot more than it did before.

My guess is, the problem is Aspell.
