Picture downloads fragmented/distorted

I just got my new system going;
Athlon 3800+ X2
ASUS A8N-E
Windows XP
2 GB Corsair
250GB HDD

And I am having problems when trying to download alot of pictures at once.
They download fine up untill a point then they either come in fractions or they come all messed up.

I am using the same satellite connection I used with my old system: Athlon 800/Windows ME/15GB HDD/320MB Ram
And I never had this problem with my old/slower system??

Is there p[ossibly some type of browser enhancement I need or an adjustment ?

delete your temp inet files

open ie, tools | inet options, click delete files under temp inet files, and wait for the hourglass to return to an arrow.

Unable to open multiple pages

Nope, I clear that constantly. It is not the answer.

Not only do I have problems with pics but trying to open/ have open multiple pages is difficult at times.

I get the "cannot find" ewrror page. but can usually refresh and get it to show.

Is there a setting somewhere to allow more pages at once or a cache?? Does DNS caching have anything to do w/ it? or http settings?
